Cadillacs

I like to look at old cars and Cadillacs are among my favorites! The Cadillac brand has been around for over a century already. Currently Cadillac is owned by GM. Caddies are a typical luxury brand. You can tell just by looking at a Caddie.

Most Caddies I've seen simply shine glitter and glamour. Caddilacs are pretty right up in your face about it too. Nothing subtle about a Caddie. And that's what I like about them!

The Cadillac company has risen from the ashes of Henry Ford's company by a guy named Henry Leland. He named the Cadillac company after a French explorer from the 17th century, whose last name was Cadillac.

The company quickly established itself as America's number one luxury car. It has managed to hold on to this reputation for many years already. But not only was the car well known for its luxurious interior and exterior, it also had a good reputation when it came to precision engineering.

The Cadillac company has come a very long way in the last century. It was founded in 1902, making the company 110 years of age at the time of writing.

In the beginning, the company produced the sort of carriage wagons that are so stereotypical of really old movies. As the years progressed, Cadillac kept innovating. In 1926, they introduced shatter resistant glass. Decades later, they installed automatically dimming headlights for the safety of oncoming drivers. This was in 1953. In 1964, they introduced the very first climate control system.

The fact that Cadillac was doing this stuff many decades ago, once again demonstrates how incredible innovative, creative and ahead of its time this company was. With Cadillac, it has never been style over substance. Cadillac simply brings us the best from both worlds.

GM bought the Cadillac company way back in 1909. Thankfully, GM did the brand justice at the time. They have taken Cadillac into the right direction. You can see the results in the image gallery I've compiled!
